Helping People Reach Their Goals
It’s no easy task to become a professional pilot or grow your own small business, particularly in today’s highly-connected and extremely competitive environment. In order to get ahead, you need to be able to stand out from the competition. The best way to do that is by being able to offer something special and communicate that effectively.
While copywriting and teaching Aviation English may seem worlds apart from each other, they require surprisingly similar skillsets — a solid grasp of specialized terminology, an understanding of the competitive, passionate environment you’re working to excel in, and strong communication skills that allow you to connect and get your point across productively. That’s where Tumbling Mirth comes in.
We believe that everyone has a right to reach their goals and improve their lives. We believe that every day should be lived with joy. We believe that everyone deserves a little help every now and then. And most importantly, we believe that this should always be done with integrity and respect for others.
“Do not wait; the time will never be ‘just right.' Start where you stand, and work with whatever tools you may have at your command."
— Napoleon Hill

The Story Behind the Name
My love of airplanes started at a young age. As a kid, I would watch them flying overhead for hours and imagine all of the amazing places the people inside them must be going and how free the pilots flying them must feel — high above all of the troubles on Earth. Because of my fascination, I had a framed poem hanging on my bedroom wall that described what I always dreamed flying must be like. Eventually, I grew up and became a pilot and learned just how accurate that description was. There was one line in the poem in particular that always captured my heart and imagination:
“Sunward I’ve climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth of sun-split clouds, — and done a hundred things you have not dreamed of – wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence.”
That line always filled me with wonder and excitement as a child and still does to this day. So, when it came time to take the exciting leap into entrepreneurship, I couldn’t think of a better name for my company — Tumbling Mirth.
“You gain strength, courage, and confidence by doing the thing which you think you cannot do.”
— Eleanor Roosevelt
About Me
Copywriter — Pilot — Tutor — Artist
Hi there! While you’re likely here with a goal in mind, I’d like to take the opportunity to tell you a little bit about myself. I’m a pilot, writer, tutor, and artist who loves to travel and is always looking for the next adventure.
While my interests and pursuits in life have been varied, one thing has always remained constant — I have always been a dreamer filled with passion, conviction, and determination. I knew from the first air show I saw at three years old that I wanted to be a pilot and I never faltered in my pursuit of that goal. Similarly, my passion and conviction in striving to make the right choices, help those around me, and protect the environment has never changed. While I may have shifted directions a few times in life, my values and work ethic have always been evident in everything I do — I’ve never backed down from a challenge simply because it was hard.
As a pilot and entrepreneur, I certainly understand the struggle of reaching challenging goals — if you’ve found yourself on this page and have made it this far, chances are you’re no stranger to challenges either.
We all have goals in life and — if you’ve set your goals high enough — you’re likely to need a little help along the way to reach them. With your goals, my skills, and our determination, we’re certain to move mountains.
